creative easter basket ideas

I can't believe how many cool ideas there are here. I love putting stuff in my kids' Easter baskets that aren't candy!

Stuffing Easter baskets is one of my favorite things to do.  It’s so much fun finding little creative things to fill them with.  Candy is definitely one filler we use, but we don’t tend to go crazy with it.  I would rather find things that the kids could enjoy for more than a couple of days.  It’s also a good time for me to replenish outdoor, and summer toys!  Plus, you don’t even have to … read on–>

super cheap DIY moss covered eggs

I can't believe these DIY moss covered eggs, are made out of scrap paper and a plastic bag! So easy, and they look great!

Easter and spring decorations are my favorite, but I am also one of the cheapest people on Earth.  Spending money on decorations that aren’t meant to stay up year round, are usually not on the top of my list.  Hey, I’m still working on filling in rooms of our house. This year though, I promised myself Easter/ spring decorations.  I’m kind of obsessed with all things Pottery Barn, and their spring decorations are no obsession. … read on–>

New Year’s Eve Photo booth

adding a photo booth to the new year's eve party sounds like so much fun!!

Can you believe 2016 is almost over??  I can’t.  I mean, I seriously cannot. This year for NYE I am sure we will be in bed long before midnight, watching the ball drop underneath the warm covers.  We don’t even try to pretend we aren’t lame.  But we may have a little bit of fun before that happens- which will probably include a hockey game, and some nachos.  We are pulling out all the stops … read on–>

gingerbread houses + toddlers= fun?

gingerbread houses can be super fun to make with kids--and frustrating. if you're thinking about making one, you're definitely going to want to read this!

Years ago, before the birth of wild thing #3, I found a haunted gingerbread house.  It was insanely easy, and we had a blast with it.  Two years ago, I thought it would be fun to make another one. This is what it looked like (by the way, if you don’t follow me on instagram, you should!  😉 ).. Needless to say, we skipped making one last year. This year, wild thing #4 was given … read on–>

diy glitter pine cones

these diy pine cones are so cute, and ridiculously easy for anyone to make!

Oh goodness!  I cannot believe we are less than a week away from Christmas!  I swear, the older the kids get, the faster the month of December goes.  I really feel like there should be another couple of weeks, at least, before Christmas!! Every year, I try to add a couple of new decorations to our Christmas collection.  This year, I finally got around to making our pallet stocking hanger.  I love how simple and … read on–>

diy pallet stocking hanger

this diy stocking hanger was so easy to make, and i am so happy with how it turned out. it's perfect for anyone that doesn't have a mantle or a staircase.

I have been trying to figure out where on earth to put our stockings since we moved into this house nearly 5 years ago.  We don’t have a fireplace, and since it is split-level, we don’t even really have a staircase to hang them on. The first year we were here, I hung a branch on the wall, and attached them to that.  I had an idea in my head, but it just didn’t work … read on–>
